16. Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander Limited (In Administration) is a member of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme established under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. You may be entitled to compensation from the scheme if we cannot meet our obligations. This depends on the type of business, the circumstances of the claim and the date the relevant firm is declared in default. Most types of investment business are covered for 100% of the first £50,000, so the maximum compensation is £50,000 (or EEA equivalent) per investor, while most deposit products are covered for 100% of the first £85,000, so the maximum compensation is £85,000 (or EEA equivalent) per depositor. 20. A person who is not a party to the contract constituted by your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions may not enforce it under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
